OVACIK/HISARONU

Ovacik and Hisaronu are located in a plateau valley between Fethiye town and Oludeniz.

Originally the two villages of Ovacik and Hisaronu were separate. When Oludeniz lagoon was designated as a national park, lack of development space and planning restrictions there influenced the development of these two small villages. This surge in popularity resulted in Ovacik and Hisaronu effectively growing into one large resort.

Ovacik is considered as mainly residential (although there are a few bars/restaurants in the area), whereas Hisaronu is a hub of activity by day and by night.

         

OVACIK

Ovacik is spread out in a wide valley on the lower slopes of Mt. Babadag.  It straddles the mountain road between Fethiye and Oludeniz.   

This stunning, pine-clad mountain setting provides amazing views and a welcome cooling breeze in the hot summer months when sea level temperatures in Fethiye and Oludeniz climb to the heady heights. 

Ovacik's convenient location, low population density, clear air and quiet country trails make it an ideal base for enjoying all the diverse aspects of this captivating area.

A short taxi/dolmus ride (2-3 mins) or a 10-15 minute pleasant level stroll through Ovacik will lead you into Hisaronu.

HISARONU

In Hisaronu you will find travel agents offering a vast array of tours and activities including boat trips, jeep safaris, coach tours, horse riding, microlight flights, paragliding, white water rafting, scuba diving (learner to advanced) or alternatively a relaxing ‘Hamam’ Turkish bath.

     

       

Hisaronu is renowned for its lively nightlife and has many bars and restaurants. However, it is an extremely friendly place where rowdiness hasn't reared it’s ugly head. Whilst there are 2 nightclubs in the resort, most of the bars are open through to the early hours and have dance floors of their own. If you choose to and have the stamina, you can dance and party until sunrise! Alternatively there are also a range of bars and restaurants that will enable you to have a relaxing, enjoyable and peaceful time…..the choice is yours!
